A range of treatment heads is available for treating different areas of the body. Special heads are available for treatment of small areas such as lips and bigger heads are available for rapid treatment of larger surfaces Complementing the flash light technology is a After Light Thermolysis application which uses a needle for white hair removal and for the treatment of all types of coagulations such as couperose and red veins. The needle incorporates Med-Op’s fade-in feature which gradually heats the layers of skin, significantly reducing discomfort. Flash Light Technology - NCPL™ (No Contact Pulse Light)

 

Med-Op’s proprietary NCPL™ (No Contact Pulse Light) technology elevates Pulse Light technology to new heights. NCPL™ recognizes the limitations of Pulse Light and overcomes them. 

 

Both technologies utilize light radiation from Xenon filled lamps to heat the skin and hair follicles causing the coagulation process that results in hair removal and prevents further hair growth. That is where the similarities end. 

 

Due to their design and aging technology, traditional IPL machines require that the treatment head lens be placed against the skin for maximum effect. This causes heat to build-up and requires that the treatment head be water cooled, and that gel be applied to the skin before treatments, making the treatments messy and more time consuming. Water cooled machines are notoriously difficult to use due to their size and weight. In addition, the water cooled treatment head is unwieldy and heavy, making it uncomfortable and awkward to operate. In addition, the technology requires more energy due to the fact that the lens comes into contact with the treated area. 

 

In contrast, NCPL™ technology does not require contact between the treatment head lens and the treated area. Approximately 5 times less energy is required and the application of messy, time consuming gels is avoided. The treatment head is air-cooled and contributes to a more lightweight, streamlined design which makes the machine far more comfortable to use. 

 

A major advantage of NCPL ™ is the rapid recharge time which facilitates a faster pulse light. This enables aestheticians to treat larger areas of skin in a shorter time, which translates to more treatments per day and thus, higher revenues.
